Back in college I was a huge fan of The Beatles. In retrospect, I guess it kind of goes along with the territory along with weed and part-time jobs.
After I graduated I pretty much stopped listening to them and only with the issue of the Remasters have I started listening to them again.
Whether it’s the passage of time or the fact that I’m no longer a hippie or a combination of the two I’m forced to admit that I just don’t like a whole lot of their catalog anymore.
While there are some songs that I’ve always thought were great and always will – “And Your Bird Can Sing” and “Long, Long, Long” come to mind – I can skip whole albums and not feel that I’m missing out on anything.
On the plus side, I got the remasters for free so I don’t feel like I’m out anything.
